God wroȝt foȝ hym myracle  long er he was bore
His moder stode wiþ child of hym  in chirche at Candelmasse
And all þe parissh with her lyȝt  as custome is ⁊ was
At masse men stoden with her lyȝt  riȝt as men done now
Her candels quenched alle at ones  ⁊ nomon nist how
Mich wonder þer was  with all þat euer þer stode
How her candels were quenched  hit changide all her mode

And for ȝour lord nyl not: þat ȝe her longe abyde
But ȝe shul ni pe see: his ?pinytees so
Charge ȝō chippe of þis fiyt: ȝe may no leng her be
To saynt Grendan saide. þis ȝongo mon fayr i hende
To pine owne lond pre most: aȝeynward radly wende
ffoȝ þen wast soone out of þis world: þi lyf is nest at ande
When þen comes into þi lond: as god þec gire wole sende
ÞIS wat þat ȝe her seen: hit deles þe world in two.
þis half ȝow þinkes fayr ynogh: ā biȝondes hit is also.
ȝo may not come on ȝondor half: for hit wer no rȝt
But þis friyt is ?cuŋlich? rype: þis lond ?yhdy brȝt
And when our lord ych man mon: to him self shal drawe
To þat aff folke þat þen is: shal understond his laws
þat lond he wole þen shows. toward þe worldes ende

Saynt brendan þe holy mon: soone to der ?dȝogh
Ffor new after þat we tyme of þis world he ne rȝt
But as aniðin of anoyer world: en he was ni rȝt
And dreð soone in ylond after þat wo floude
gony fair myrade god has done: þe he was layde to grave
Afayr Abbay þe is bylde: þe as his bones lyne
God sende us aff into þat ioye: was his sonle is yne Amen.
