Department of war
Pay to William Rickard Pay master protem.
to the Troops in the Territory aforesaid, out
of the money in your hands appropriated for
the pay of the Army, two hundred and eighty
eight dollars ten cents, for the pay of a Company
of Infantry of the 3^d. Sub Legion of the United
States, commanded by Lieutenant William
Rickard from the first of December ot the thirty
first of December 1794, agreeably to pay-roll
and your report thereon of this date, for which
this shall be your warrant.

Given at Knoxville under my hand
and seal this 8^th,, day of August 1795
