45 B-1-2 Nashville Dec. 14th 1814 Sir, I have the honor to enclose herewith copies of two letters rec'd. by me, dated, the one Sept 29th and the other Oct 12th 1814. The first from Tobias Lear, accountant of the War Dept., the other from Joseph Nourse, Register of the Treasury together with an extract from a letter written by Jas. Monroe Secy of War to me, dated Nov. 5th 1814, respecting the one hundred thousand dollars in Teasury Notes sent to me & which were depsoited in the Nashville Bank, and respecting their appropriation, being the same for which you have of this date signed duplicate receipts, and which receipts I have of this date transmitted to the Secy of the Treasury, U.S. _ you have indorsed the receipt of the Cashier of the Nashville Bank for said Notes deposited endorsed to you _ I am respectfully,

B-1-2 Extract "Adjutant General's office near Fort Montgomery 30th Oct. 1814 Head Quarters 7th District

Sir," Duplicate receipts are this day forwarded to John Anderson Esqr for two thousand dollars which you will please list and advance the money from the public funds in your hands; I have the honor to be very respectfully. your mo Obt St Signed, Robert Britler Adjutant General

Nashville Dec. 14th 1814

Sir, my not having any public funds in my hands, I am not enabled to take the receipt above alluded to, had I such funds I of the Adjt General Britler of the 3rd Ov last as stated in the foregoing extract from his letter to me_ should list them agreeably to the requistion _ respectfully,
