Dr Sir,

I am desirous of obtaining from your Excellen -cy the appointment of Commissioner of Deeds for the State of Tennessee

There is no Commissioner for Tennessee in Rhode Island.

With this I forward to your Excellency, a Recommen dation and Request from his Excellency the Governor of this State, which in case you should deem it expedient to make an appointment for Rhode Island I trust will be satisfactory.
