The undersigned Citizens of the County of Lamar and State of Texas most respectfully recommend, our fellow Citizen Henry D. Woodsworth Esq as a suitable person to Receive the appointment ^& of Commissioner in Chancery^ of Commissioner of Deeds for the State and the undersigned take pleasure, in recommending him as one in Every way qualified to discharge the duties incumbent upon that officer; by granting this Petition you will Confer a favor on many citizens of the State, and as in duty bound we will ever (pray?) &c
