To His Excellency N.S. Brown

Sir.

You will recieve from Major James Hickman, (who will hand you this) a transcript of the record in a prosecution against Isaac A. Miller who stands charged in the Circuit Court of Sevier County with the crime of Forgery, having forged (as it is alledged) instruments of writing, by which heavy sums of money were obtained by him from the Branch of the Bank of Tennessee at Rogersville, he is a fugitive from Justice and is understood here at this time to be a citizen of the State of Texas; the transcript is furnished for the purpose of asking of your Excellency, a demand of the said Isaac A. Miller, from the Governor of Texas.

William Wilson is also a fugitive from Justice, being charged with the murder of Thomas Howsley, in this County of Jefferson, it is also understood that said Wilson is a resident citizen at this time of the State of Texas a transcript of the record in his case, is furnished, for the purpose of asking that your Excellency will demand him from the Governor of Texas.

I recommend Major Hickman as a suitable agent on the part of the State, to receive said fugitives.
