Savannah Nov (?) 1848 Dear Sir My health is not restored & I therefore again certify to you that owing to physical inability I am unable to hold the Circuit Court of the 14th Judicial Circuit of which I am Judge. I therefore desire you to make a special appoint ment forthwith & inclose it to me, as the circuit in McNairy begins 2nd Monday. Let the Commiss ion be general, that is until my disability is removed, & not confined to particular courts Yours truly James Scott I think there is a prospect of an continual recovery, as late symptoms are more favoura able
