Stewart County Circuit Court March term 1849

The grand Jurors of the state of
Tennessee elected [and] Sworn and [illegible] to inquire
in and for the body of the County of Stewart upon this
oaths present and say that Evans Wallace Late of said
County [illegible] [illegible] to wit on the [illegible] of
[illegible] in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight and
forty nine with force and arms at the County aforesaid
With a [illegible] Muskit of the value of one dollars. then
& there loaded and charged with gun powder - and
leaden Butting which Muskit he the said Evans Wallace
in his Right hand then and there have and hold
to against and upon the said B. F. Brown there and there
unlawfully-maliciously & feloniously did shoot and
discharge and that the said Evans Wallace with the
[illegible] Butting aforesaid out of the musket aforesaid
then and there by [illegible] of the gun [illegible] and Bullits
sent forth as aforesaid the said B F Brown in and
upon the Left arm and left Breast of him there and there
undoubtfully maliciously & feloniously did strike
penetrate and wound giving to the said B F Brown
then and with the leaden Bullits aforesaid that [illegible] [illegible]
and sent forth out of the musket aforesaid by the said
Evans Wallace in and upon the left arm & left breast.
of him the said B. F. Brown [illegible] wounds of the
[illegible] [illegible] and of the [illegible] of one half and
Inch greatly to the [illegible] of the said B F Brown
