Execution Department Tuscaloosa Alabama Oct 24 1845 Sir I ask the liberty of (?) respectfully to the conflictnation of your Excellency, the name of William (?) Esq of this city, and request that you will commission him as a commissioner of Deeds and for the commonwalth of Tennessee, to reside in the State of Alabama Mr. Garrett is now, and has been for five years (?) of State of the State of Alabama. Your years of that time I have been intimalety connected with him, in official business transactions and coan as I do most cheerfully (?) unequicacal testemony to his close business habits and his (?) and (?) knowledge fo the laws and ways of the different states in repect to (?) and all the forms necessary to perfect the difference kinds of (?) must which pay from (?) state to anotherin addition to there qualification he is extentively and favorably known throughout the State particulary to the members of the Bar to which Clap as well as the whole business public his appointment would be both (?) and satisfactory Assuming your Excellency of the pleasure which this favor to Mr. Garrett will afford to myself personally. I am with perfect respect Your Mo. Obd. Servt Ben (?) His Excellency Governor of Tennesee
