companies but will pay no more.

A supply of Camp Kettles[?] & ex apting[?] tents
has just arrived from St. Louis sufficient for
the Cavalry Regt. It has rained her almost
every day for the last two weeks -- I have therefore
felt bound by a due consideration for the
comfort of the troops to have tents made. --
