Bank of Tennessee 1st Decr 1838
To his ex: Gov. Cannon
DSir I recd yours this evening covering letter addressed to you from J [Calloon? Calhoun?] Esqr. President of the Board of [coms?] of Campbell County. You will find inclosed the copy of a letter I addressed to him on the 22nd Sept last in reply to his of the 5th same month Which contd all the Information there in my possession that was desired except that part relating to the delivery of the Bond to them.
If it should be the opinion of the Attry General that they are entitiled to the Bond in absence of a sale at [per? par?] The Bank will deliver them at any time with pleasure
Those Bonds are now prepared in the most acceptable form possible and If a 5 pCent Bond could be sold at [per? par?] in the united states I have no doubt those would be taken
The agent of the Bank is now at New York and authorised to sell them if [per? par?] can be obtained
