Gov^r.Carroll Dear Sir
I here tender you
my resignation as Entry Taker for Humphreys County. & you Sir by Commisioning another person
to discharge the duties of Entry Taker for County
immediately will confer a considerable favour
upon its citizens and for the person to fill
this office would and do respectfully recomme
=nd Mr Cade. A. Crawley who you may rely
on it in Everry [sic] way Qualified to discharge
the duties of the office respectably and beside
it will give General satisfaction to our citizens
for him to have the appointment - Our Court
will sit on the 26^th of this inst at which time
we would be glad to have an Entry Taker
