Fayetteville 28th April 1831
dear Sir
Inclosed [sic] I hand you.. the certificate of BM Garner, clerk of this county, Setting forth the existence of two vacancies, for magistrates: in the town company commanded by Capt. [Carty?]- The citizens of Fayetteville in full town meeting have just nominated for the office Francis L. Kincannon. & Robert S. Helms and are desirous of having them commissioned forthwith, and send these papers on by expresss. You will greatly oblige them, & serve the public interests of the county, by sending out a commission by the bearer.

I Briwell M. Garner Clerk of the Court of the pleas and Quarter Sessions for the County Certify that Robert Dickson an ailing justice of the peace for Capt. Carty's Company resigned his appoint =ment at the January Term 1831 of said Court and that Stephen Alexander formerly a justice of the peace for the same Company in said County departed this life some time since 28th April 1831.
