Dear Sir
Having had an office
tendered me by the County Court of this County whic=
=h I have accepted of it therefore becomes my
duty to resign that of Entry taker for this
County, which I accoringly do. I would verry [sic]
Respectfully Recommend for my Successor
Mr Stephen C. Pavatt who is willing to accept
of a protem appointment & who is well
calculated to discharge the duties of the office
& I would further inform you that there
is yet some entering of land in this County
& that the appointment of Mr. Pavatt or some
other Gentleman to that office as soon as is
is convenient for you to make it. will by grati
fying to some of hte citizens of this County &
cannot give offence [sic] to any
