Pulaski 8^th Febr'y. 1833

To His Excellency William Carroll,
Governor of the State of Tennessee,

The undersigned
Citizens of the County of Giles, would
respectfully represent to your Excellency,
that on the 26^th of last month, one
William Odeneal a citizen of said
County, was murdered by one Thomas
Rayburn- At the present term of the
Circuit Court for said County, said
Rayburn was indicted & a [true?] bill found
by a Grand Jury of said County - before
which & immediately after the murder,
was committed, said Rayburn fled
& has not yet been taken, & the
undersigned trust that your Excellency
will issue your Proclamation, and
offer a suitable reward for the
apprehension of said Rayburn, in
order that he may be brought to
Justice -
