Sir.

A Committee of the General Court of the
Commonwealth have been ordered to collect and
publish the proceedings of South Carolina and
of such other states as acted on the Subject upon
Nullification. No official communication of
any such proceedings of the authorities of Tennessee
has been received by those of this Commonwealth;
and, to avoid any accidente [sic] occur on the subject,
& take the liberty, by direction of the Committee
of Publications, to request you to inform me whether
