About the time you set out for
Orleans I enclosed to you my bond
as Treasurer, has it reachd you?
I sent it by mail, and not [yet?] having
heard from you, do not know but it might
have miscarried - We have no news
of general interest, much speculation
as to the effects, that "Clays pamphlets" may
have, particularly in Kentucky, some of
our midway politicians are quite converted
by it -
