Sir

Among the number of applicants for the
office of attorney general, the friends of
Mr Brown of this place wish him to be
considered as one, Mr Brown himself from
a sense of delicacy will not personally
interfere- He is a lawyer of long & respecta
ble standing from Pennsylvania highly,
& deservedly, esteemed here as a man &
as a lawyer & would discharge the office
of attorney general with great propriety

With perfect respect
