D^r Sir) The unfornunate occur=
=ence of my friend M^r Broyes, with a
M^r Moore both citizens of this county
has I presume been presented to you
asking executive interfearance. The facts
as stated in the petition presented to you
I presume to be correct. I can only say I have
been acquainted with M^r George Broyles since
he was a small boy, and with his father
and family since the early settlement of
this county, his father was an honest
industrious good citizen, and George the
son pertakes of his qualities. This is the
first infraction of the laws of the county
that has ever been commited by any
member of the family since my
acquaintance with them, Georg's father
is now dead, and has been for some years
his mother is quite old, and infirm, tho respe
