James C. Jones Governor of the State
of Tennessee
To all who shall see these presants and partic
ularly to the Senators and Representatives of hte
28th Genral Assembly. [Greeting?]
Whereas the Constitution provides that the
Executor may concern the Legislature in ex
tra [depeon?] - when the public [receptions?] demand
it and thereas it is behind that such nice
ly [?] and that the public interest imper
iously requires an early convention of the
General Assembly
Now therefore I James C. Jones Governor as
aforesaid by vesture of hte power and authority
in me vested - do [?] this my proclamation
requiring the Senators and Representatives of
the 27th General Assembly to convene in the
city of Nashville on the first Monday it being
the 3d day of October next - then and there to take
with concideration [sic] such matters and things tou
ching the public interest as may be permitted submitted for
this action

unto sit my hand and caused
