Know all men by these presents that we
Christopher Taylor Chloe Rentfroe & Henry Conway
and James Wilson all of the County of Greene
and State of North Carolina are held and
firmly bound Samuel Johnston Esqr goven
=our & Commander in cheef [sic] of the State afore
=said in the full and Just sum of one thous
and two hundred pounds to be paid to the said
Samuel Johnston Esqr his successors or
assigns, to which payment well and truly to
be made we bind ourselves our heirs Ex[ecuto]rs
and adm[inistrato]rs jointly and severally firmly
by these presents sealed with our seals and
dated this 4th day of May 1789
The Condition of this obligation is such that whereas
the above bounden Christopher Taylor of W. County and
Chloe Rentfroe admr and admrs of all and singular
the goods and chattels rights and credits of William
Rentfroe
Dec[ease]d do make or cause to be made a
true and perfect Inventory of the Estate of the said Decd
which have or shall come to the hands Knowledge or
possession of the said Christopher Taylor and Chloe
Rentfroe
or to the hands Knowledge or possession of any
person or persons for them, and the same so made an Exhibit
or cause to be Exhibited into the secretarys office
and one attested copy thereof into the county court
when orders for administration passed within ninety
days from the date of these presents and the same goods
chattels and credits of the Dec.d at the time of his death
or at any time since or hereafter shall come into the
hands or possession of the said admr & admrs or into
the hands or possession of any person or persons for them
Do well & truly administer according to law and further
Do make or cause to be made a true and Just of [their?]
said administration within one year after the date
of these presents and all the rest and residue of the
said Estate which shall be found remaining on
the said admrs account (the same being first
examined and allowed by the superior or county court)
