I had the honor of receiving
your letter by M^r Humprheys the
Commissioner appointed on behalf of the
State of Tennessee to Procure the ad=
justments of the boundary line between
the two states. He will no doubt
report to you in detail the Course
which that business has taken

I have now the honor of enclosing to
your Excellency the Copy of an act
recently passed by the legislature of this
State on that subject
