William Lashley
Indt for horsestealing
The said William Lashley was again
led to the bar in custody of the Sheriff
of Davidson County and thereupon it being
demanded of the said William Lashley if any
thing for himself he had or knew to say why
the court here to judgment and execution of
and upon the premises should not proceed
he said he had nothing but what he had
before said, whereupon all and singular the
premises being said and fully understood It
is considered by the Court that the said
William Lashley receive on his bare back
twenty four lashes at the public whipping
Post in Nashville well laid on, that he be
imprisioned twelve months from this day
and that he branded on the brown of the
left thumb with the letter H T and that
the said William Lashley sit in the pillory
two hours on the seventh day of August next
to commence at eleven oclock and two hours
on the two succeeding days to begin at the
same hour and that on the last day that the
said William Lashley may sit in the
pillory that he receive the lashes and brand=
ing between the hours of one and three in
the afternoon. And that the execution of
this judgment be made and done upon him
the said William Lashley by the Sheriff of
Davidson County. And it is ordered that
the said William Lashley pay the costs of
the prosecution &c
