Dear sir

In the Charter for estabishing
Bank at Fayetteville the Legislature reserverd
the right for the state to take three hundred
shares of said stock, and I being appointed by
the Directors of said Bank to write you
on the subject have the pleasure of
Informing you that the aforesaid Bank is
about to commence Business, and wait for
an answer from you, whether or not the
am^t or any part therof will be taken by
the Executive I am very Respectfully
