Gentlemen,
You will find inclosed the proceedings of the officers of two Brigages [sic] of the second division Ten. Militia
Without subscribing particularly to their views I have to remark that much good would result from anual [sic] drils [sic] if the time was at least one week - and I am of opinion that tents and camp equipages ought to be furnished; this could be deposited at the place of Brigade drill and be useful for many years- this expence together with that of furnishing the meat and bread part of rations would be small and much good would no doubt result from it - The present miitia law is very dificent [sic]
