Sir

It having been communicated to
me by the acquaintances of Co^lo Brady
that he is or will be an applicant
for secretary of state; and having been
requested to communicated to you my
opinion about him as regards his
talents and other honorable qualificati
=ons - I will suggest that I have no
hesitation in giving it as my opinion
or saying, that I have for a long time
been acquainted with Co^lo Brady &
believe him not only to be a Soldier
but a gentleman & qualified to
discharge the functions of any Civil
office that he would accept of -
