Pursuand to writs of Election
to me directed from the
Brigadier General Commanding the 6th Brigade
of the Militia of Said State to hold an
Election in the county aforesaid for
to Elect one Second Major for the 36th
Regiment of this State now I William
Phillips Sheriff of the county of aforesaid
do certify that said Election was held
at the diferent [sic] places appointed out by
law for holding Elections in Hickman
County on the twenty first and twenty second
days of January 1819 and that Josiah
Hanna was duly Elected to fill that
office in witness whereof I have here
unto Set my hand and Seal this
