Murfreesboro April 23th[sic] 1819

Sir

Your very polite address, intimating
a manifest wish to confere on me the office
of Notary Public for Rutherford County -
is just at hand, and having been before
warmly solicited by my friends to accept
the office, and its meeting the wish of
him who can give the appointment -
Have concluded from a belief
that it will not materially conflict
with my present engagements
to accede to your friendly wish on
this subject

I am yours with high
esteem

Alfred Moore

Gov. Jos. McMinn
