Vernon August 28^th 1820.

To his Excellency Joseph M^cMinn,

Sir, This is to inform
you that for many good considerations, I have and do
hereby resign my appointment of Solicitor General
for the 12^th Solicitorial District for thos State conferred upon
me at the last States General Assembly in 1819. Which
District consists of the Counties of Hickman, Wayne
Hardin and Perry.-

I remain with sentiments of esteem yours

as there are several criminals that ought to
