Dear Sir
Mr James R Mcmeans Esqr the Solicitor for the twelfth district tells me that he will send on his resegntion to you by next male [sic], as such you will have to appoint some person to fill the Vacancy. Mr James Scott who lives in our Town will apply to you for that appointment in a few days. he is a young man of fine Morrals [sic] and very good abillities and I think will fill the place with credit.
