I am Amongst the Unfortunate
Mothers who has to lement the distress
of one branch of my family James Hindman
who is now in close Confinement in the Jail
in Nashville for a Suposed transgression of the
laws of our beloved Country, the law has had
its Course, and I now Cast myself on your
Clemency for Mercy, if it be consistant [sic] with your
duty and the good of society that you will Extnd [sic]
your gracious pardon to James Hindman now in
Nashville Jail Imprisoned for six months -
Your Mercy in the above case will
Restore an Unfortunate son to an afflicted
widowed Mother
