The State of Tennessee}
I John W. Wilson coroner for the County of Bradley in the state aforesaid do hereby report to his Excellency the Governor of the state aforesaid that Alexander Webb of said County has committed Wilful and deliberate Murder and has fled from Justice and refers his Excelency, to a copy of the Inquest Written underneath - to wit State of Tennessee Bradley County
We being duly ellected impann elled sworn and charged by the coroner of Bradley County, as [?] of Inquest to inquire how when and in what manner Shadrack M Taylor came to his death on our oaths we say that one Alexander Webb on the 19th day of October 1839 on the County of Bradley aforesaid with

force and army? the said Alexander Webb did then and there feloniously, wilfully deliberatley and of Malice aforethought with a piece of timber, a fence stake did kill and Murder the said Shader ack M. Wilson Coroner of Bradley County sadi Alexander Webb is a man about thrity years of age span made about five feet eigh or ten inches high this visage dark complected a scar upon one cheek he is represented to have relatives living in Warren County & Bedford County Tennessee & also relatives in the stae of Mississippi
