I Willis Jones being appointed by
the last General Assembly of the State of
Tennessee to survey & run the line between the Counties of
Smith, Wilson & Jackson, do hereby certify that after
running the line between the aforesaid County's of Smith and
Wilson, William Bumpass (who was late appointed as a
Justice of the peace for the aforesaid County of Smith)
was left in Wilson County as an inhabitant and thereof also
between the Counties of Smith & Jackson, find that
Buck Russel who was also appointed a Justice of the
peace for the s.d County of Jackson was left as an
inhabitant in Smith County as aforesaid Given
under my hand this twenty fourth day of August
