over the State of Tennessee

To all who shall see these presents
Greeting

Whereas Peter Bean at the present term
of the Superior Court of Law held for
the District of Washington has been
convicted of Petit Larceny, and whereas
it appears by - petition signed by
the prosecution and the Jurors who sat
on His trial that he has been a person
of good Character previous to the Conviction
of the Offence aforesaid and that he was
probably seduced by the intriguer of those
more gratly [sic] than himself

now Know ye that I do hereby Pardon
the said Peter Bean for the said offence
Petit Larceny of which he has been Convicted

Given under my hand and Seal
at Jonesborough this 16th day of
March 1803
