We the subscribers being duly qualified to hold
an election at the Court House in Knoxville,
on Tuesday the fifteenth day of September
1807, for a Captain, Lieutenant and Cornet
for the troop of Horse of Knox County,
do certify, that Alexander Coulter was
elected Captain, Joseph Ashworth,
Lieutenant, & James Campbell, Cornet,
the two first officers having the whole
number of the votes, & the Cornet a
full majority of the same
