Sir, a few days a go I sent my son to
Knoxville to know how the Claims
I had filed was decided on I found
but few of them was acted on -
I confess I am at a loss to know
the reason - As I have always under
=stood the law - that the Commissioner
was bound to Act on all the Claims
before him before the Session ended
if that is the law I would have
been Glad to have known the
event of Mine As I have filed
a number for others - & several
I have purchesed [sic] & filed for My
self - And I want them let them
be [illegible], or, back, as those I filed
for others I am asked for, &, those
of my own I want, if value
or - in valued - Sir if you will be so good
as to write me the reason why.
