I am informed that the Militia now in Service under Governor Blounts last
Order, Consist amounts to and detailed
in the following manner at Tellico Block house
at Fort Granger at S^o. West point
Fort Blount

beg leave to observe that it is of importance in my oppinion [sic], that
there should a strong Gaurd [sic] be constantly keept [sic] up at the Tellico
Block house - Great Numbers of indians resort at to that place, and the
large supplies Generally there, might induce some of those
desperadoes, from a thirst for love of plunder to meditate ^attempt an attackt [sic] on
the store, particularly in some of their Drunken paroxysms. Altho
they are for notwithstanding they do not are not supplied with sprituous
Lyquor [sic] at the store, there is large and plentiful settlements in the Vicinity
they & by various means ^they get furnished with considerable Quantities of Whisky
