with its inclosures have duly come to hand,

I have no doubt your Mission have been perplexing
and tedious, but as it is was is a matter of Magnitude
And importance it could not be expected to
otherwise then require time and deliberation-

I have written to the ^our Senators & Representatives
in Congress observing the propriety of having
the business taken up as early as possible, in
order that the sense of that body may be known
by the time our assembly may will be convened, which
for the purpose of Affoarding [sic] the agent time
to compleat [sic] the business objects of his Mission as well
other ^weighty considerations ^the Executive have been is induced to think could not take place
before the first [space] Monday in next

In procureing [sic] the transcripts & Copies, of papers
& documents from the State of N.o Carolina it is
recommended that presumed the agent will pursue ^a the line
of economy and frugality, assuring you him that
the Treasury is entirely at this time is very much drained and am ^apprehending fearfull [sic]
that money will can only be obtained with ^considerable difficulty-
