Attendance knowing how long ^the great length of time you have been absent from your own private
Affairs- In respect to the ^transcripts of the papers of Adairs office it is my
opinion that every matter relative to them, is as necessary to be brought
forward as those of any other office, as they wholy [sic] relate to the State of Tenn
=essee- I suppose you have been I make no doubt you have been
advised that there already appears to be considerable difficulty in
obtaining the assent of Congress to the North Carolina act, and should
it finally fail, the embarrassed situation of our land affairs
will readily prevent itself to you - with sentiments of esteem &
