North Carolina be permitted to take such ^authentical Copies and
transcripts of the aforesaid books and papers, as they may
think necessary and proper - You will please to observe
that in the present, as well you may readily perceive, in
my past communications, that I have confided the
business principally to your own Judgment, & opinion,-
respecting this important matter, wishing as I do
