Dr Sir
Yours of the 2d instant, I was duly honored with
on the 20th, And for the information theirin [sic]
contained I am very much oblidged, and beg leave
to present my thanks to you, for the part you
have taken in behalf of our distressed frontiers
people who have been oblidged to remove from
their farms- I am sorry to learn the awkward
and embarrasing situation of our Government as
a nation, and have been fearful that the debility
of administration, would bring forth a serious disease.
Time can ony discover the event, but and I console my
=self with the thoughts ^hopes that the Wise & Virtuous,
will avert the storm, that is clouding up, and
hovoring around us- I have nothing new to
favor
