Sir

I Hasten to lay before the Senate, the
Statement of Claim, made by your Agents, and laid
before the Commissioners of the United States,
Shewing the obligations Assumed by the General -
Government, to remove those Difficulties, which has
Hitherto embarrassed the rights of the People of this
State, arising out of Indian Claims.~

I conceive it important that the
Principles it contains should be Diffused, and have
directed a number of Copies sufficient to enable
me, to furnish to each member of either branch
of the Legislature three, and they will so soon
as struck, be inclosed. ~

I Have the Honor to be

'shewing' isn't a misspelling, it's an alternate version of 'showing' that was used commonly back then.
