I Hasten to lay before the Represen=
=tatives, the Statement of Claim, made by your
Agents, and laid before the Commissioners of the
United States, Shewing the obligations Assumed
by the General Government, to remove those Difficul
=ties, which has Hitherto, embarrassed the rights of
the People of this State, arising out of Indian
Claims. ~

I conceive it important that the prin=
=ciples it contains should be Diffused; and have
directed a number of Copies sufficient to enable
me to furnish to each member of either branch
of the Legislature three, and they will so soon
as struck, be inclosed. ~
