Sir) After having Serv'd My Country, In the
Capacity of a Justice of the Peace for a
Number of Years In the County of Washington
I Now Beg leave to Resign My Commission
To your Excellency, Which I hope you Will Accept
- My Declining Years, together with the Situation
of My Private Affairs will I trust Be Receiv'd
as the Reason Why I Cannot any Longer Serve
My Country In any Publick [sic] Station, With
Sincere Wishes for My Countrys Welfare, &
Every Sentiment of Respect & Esteem to you
Sir, As Its Chief Magistrate I Beg leave to
