Dear Sir

Your favor of the 24^th
ult has been rec^d - Congress will
past the assenting act no doubt
either this or the next session
but I think this, for I
feel confident that unless it
is done the Assembly will
not to meet, or the resolution
recommending to the Governor
to call the Legislature, states
that such call shall take
place upon the Report of the
Agent here; and that
Report has not as yet
been made
