It is with pleasure Iinform
you that the business of the State
of Tennessee here will be closed
this week, immediately after which
I shall hasten out
It will not be in
my power to make the Report

this place for two reasons one of
which is that the final determina=

assent referred to in the proposed compact
between No Carolina and Tennessee
is not as yet known- the other
that from the [examination?] occasioned
