Dear Sir:

I received your very polite information with respect to the office of
Governor of this State, and make no doubt your fellow citizens have embraced
the opportunity for rewarding the many signal services you rendered this
country by the gratification of your wishes.

You have, we may almost say, the unanimous voice of this country- only four
lost and two of them through mistake. We trust if you are elected, you will not
in the multitude of business forget our frontier and exposed situation; a few of
us have made a settlement in a situation that may have need the fostering hand of
Government and in you we hope to find both a friend and Governor.

I am Dear Sir,
Your most Obediant
and humble Servant,
Morgan Brown
