John Sevier Governor in and over the State said State
To the Sheriff of Sumner County, Greeting.
You are hereby commanded and required to hold an
election arguably to the Constitution and laws of the State aforesaid
for a person duly qualified to represent the Counties of Sumner, Smith,
Wilson and Jackson formerly the County of Sumner, in the house
of Representatives of this State in the place and stead of William
Martin Esquire, who has resigned his seat in that body, on the
Second Thursday of March next and the succeeding day
and due return thereof make - In Testimony whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal
of the State to be affixed at Knoxville the 15th day of January 1805.-
