Status: Needs Review

send us a pair or two
of the striped gopher alive
I would like them very much.

The Nat. Hist. Soc. idea
in Chicago will do very well if
they have a Museum and
put you at the head with
money enough to carry it
out. It then wont make
any difference about other
members.

The soap wont do for
lining your boxes, as when the
insect collections are infested,
you will have to bake them and
that will melt soap or wax.
Plaster of paris cast in answers
pretty well; and slips of corn-
stalk pith are sometimes used.
Cork is however best.

Never mind about the
insect pins - I will send you
as many as I can spare. You
can buy them in New York for
about 1.00 an ounce.

I do not now care for
insects as we have no place
at present to put them
