Today I heard the Lark Singing - saw first
Redwings - St. Johns Hawks - And a flock
of Crows - Spring is preparing the way for
the great host of birds that will soon gladen
nature with their gay colours, and sprighty
motions and most melodious music -
soon every pond and [illegible], as will as, woods
and fields will find a tongue.
Lora has learned Old Dog [illegible] so She
plays it prime. She confesses it a favorite,
sends her respects.
The Physiology Lessons ar as well as usual
I thank you.
Miss West said she will play and sing her
prittiest for you when you come -
You must not fail in [illegible] to let us see
the girls -
